DA/SA has long been the choice of pro's and though striker fired pistols have reigned the marketplace for the last decade, the safer (and arguably more accurate via it's SA mode) setup utilized in the new XD-E, is making a comeback. And this is a great caliber! Springfield has harnessed some of the advantages born from the striker-fired era (namely polymer frames) and married those with the overall superior setup of double action, single action and a decocker to allow for safe transition from a cocked pistol.
