Unbelievable! Simply the best firearm news since...um...well...forever! Springfield Armory have brought back the venerable Browning Hi-Power with updated metallurgy and features to improve strength and reliability. A century-old John Moses Browning design, it has been the template for virtually every modern handgun since, and though that technically labels it a classic, Springfield Armory are clear to point out it's not! It's a thoroughly modern iteration of the granddaddy of all semi-auto pistols but discerningly retains the withering good looks of JMB's original brainchild. I predict these will sell like hot donuts and be near impossible to find for a while (especially at that amazingly affordable ticket price), but I know I'm already in line.
