Smith & Wesson's CSX is a great looking hammer-fired pistol in a classic all-metal, single-action-only configuration. Ideal for authentic OG shooters and retro-curious newcomers alike, this release seems to be part of a growing trend away from polymer pistols. Though plastic offers certain weight advantages, new aerospace aluminums are competitive on the scales: the CSX is 19.5oz unloaded. Also metal pistols are just better at absorbing felt recoil, which translates to more controlled follow-up shots. I'm of the theory that you can become accomplished with any weapon given enough practice (I've seen slingshotters display consistent marksman accuracy), but in these days of ammo scarcities and exorbitant costs, having the perfect pistol out of the box is a huge boon. This looks close. I just wish this new CSX included a decocker but hopefully S&W will bring that out in future iterations. This from the S&W website:
