Ruger's redux of the Marlin GBL may just be the Rolls Royce of all the Marlin generations. All desired features come in the package including slimmer forend and rubber butt pad on laminate furniture, a 6-round tubular mag, a 19.1" cold hammer forged (threaded) barrel for optimal powder burn and bullet stabilization, a nickel-plated bolt and bead blasted inner components all topped off with semi-buckhorns. This is a rifle you'd previously have had to order as a custom for twice the coin - Ruger's debuting it now for a mere $1200. I doubt there's a comparably refined civilian-legal canon on the current market so if you've always wanted a rifle that shoots this awesome, formidable round, now is the time to buy.
